Registrations are now open for the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and Kansas State University distance education courses designed specifically for professionals in grain operations and related fields.
The September courses run Sept. 2-Oct.3; registration closes Aug. 26. Course tuition, which covers all materials, is USD$625 for GEAPS members and USD$795 for non-members. Upcoming courses include:
GEAPS 524: Grain Drying – Covers basic principles of grain drying, with strategies for improving energy efficiency. Recommended for anyone from facility operators to dryer manufacturers and sales staff. See full course description for more information.
GEAPS 540: Safety Management for Grain Facilities – Provides fundamental safety techniques to help minimize the most significant work safety and health risks. GEAPS 552: Materials Handling III – Introduces key information about powered-transmission design, system design and other affiliated systems used to move and store grain and related commodities.
