Quoting for grain export introduced by Ukrainian Government till the end of the current year does not apply to feed and milling corn. As APK-Inform agency found out code UCCFEA (Ukrainian Commodity Classification for Foreign Economic Activity) 1005 10 90 00 indicated in regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers No 1418 d. d. October, 11, 2006 includes only seed corn.
Ukrainian exporters inform that corn is exported without any limitations. Several vessels have been shipped with this grain after coming into force of draft regulations of CMU.
At the same time traders are afraid that Government can modify its regulations on export quoting. It stimulates companies to activate corn purchases for future export.
According to the last forecasts of APK-Inform Ukraine will export about 1 mln tonnes of corn in 2006/07 MY.
