Finnish food group Atria said Friday it intended to import genetically modified feed beginning next year.
"We start from the premise that the use of genetically modified feed is realism in Finland as well as in other countries. Some 90 per cent of the world's trade in soy is genetically modified soy," Juha Gröhn, the deputy chief executive of Atria told the Finnish News Agency (STT).
Atria's competitor LSO Foods faced a small demonstration earlier in the week after announcing it would import genetically modified soy.
