Brazilian based company Biorigin, a producer specialising in animal nutrition productions and natural foods, is planning to double its production capacity with a new expansion to its production facilities.
Located at Quatá, Brazil, the plant will begin a USD$120 million expansion later this month.
The expansion plan includes fermentation, pure culture, autolysis, and drying which are expected to be operation sometime in 2014.
Speaking on the expansion Biorigin's general director Mario Steinmetz, said "This investment will allow Biorigin to continue its process of sustainable growth in the market of food and feed ingredients, as well as to innovate in products and services, as we have done during the last 10 years."
"This expansion initiative was brought about by positive market perspectives and by health and wellness market trends of an increasing search for natural ingredients. Moreover, we have a production model that allows the traceability of the ingredients applied. In addition, we use renewable energy sources that supply the requirements of sustainability," concluded Steinmetz.
