Trung Son Corp, a subsidiary of Trung Son Group officially inaugurated a shrimp processing plant with annual capacity of 10,000 MT in Duong Hoa commune, Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province. This plant is worth VND 170 billion.
This is the first and the only shrimp processing plant in Vietnam that is built in shrimp farming area of the company. The company, therefore, owns its source of raw material for processing shrimp. Its strategic partner, Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) sell all of the shrimp from the company to Japanese market.
Reportedly, 3 shrimp farms of the company cover the total area of 1,650 hectares. The company plans to invest in a disease-free manufacturing centre with a capacity of 1.5 billion shrimps/year and a 20,000 MT/year feed plant, expected to be launched in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
Trung Son has three shrimp farms with a total area of 1,650 hectares near the new processing plant. Its strategic partner, Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), will market all of Trung Son’s shrimp in Japan.
In addition Trung Son plans build a 20,000-metric-ton-a-year feed mill in 2016.
