Earlier this month Korean feed producers Farmsco, celebrated the grand opening of their newly upgraded feed factory located in Jeju, S.Korea.
The upgrades to the plant took place the past three months, as the remodeling of the Jeju plant saw aging production machinery at the facilities replaced with the latest equipment and modern production systems.
Work on the upgrading of the feed mill were completed last month, and pilot production with the new feed machinery commenced at the end of September. The opening ceremony, held on the 4th of October at the Jeju feed plant was atteneded by government officials, business customers and roughly 200 other invitees.
The upgrades at the plant will improve productivity and profitability for Farmsco.
The launch of the plant will help give the Jeju Livestock brand a boost and help the development of the livestock industry on the island, where their are already a number of feed manufacturers actively producing livestock feed in the region.
Farmsco engages in the manufacture and sale of animal feeds in South Korea. It is also involved in slaughtering livestock; and processing and preserving meat and meat products. The company offers its products through sales branches, distribution stores, directly managed stores, agencies, institutional food service providers, online shopping malls, and TV home shopping channels. The company was formerly known as Daesang Farmsco Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Farmsco in 2009. Farmsco is based in Anseong, South Korea. Farmsco is a subsidiary of Jeil Holdings Co.,Ltd.
