Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company (KFMBC) will stop producing animal feed by the end of February due to lack of funds, reliable sources from the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR).
Sources said KFMBC has officially informed the authority on the depletion of the budget allocated for the production of animal feed.
Meanwhile, sources warned there might be a remarkable increase in the price of animal feed which, they said, will be available in the 'black' market at KD7 per bag weighing 50 kilograms (€17.33).
Sources added the price will double unless the concerned authorities take the necessary action and allocate the required budget to KFMBC next week.
