Jiangsu Muyang recently revealed that effective from the 29th of March that it had been successful in meeting the requirements for the certification of conformity with ATEX directive. This follows greater than 3 months of work and preperation in order to gain the certificate.
The ATEX directive identifies what machinery and work environment is admitted in an environment that has a potentially explosive atmosphere. The certificate and certification makes sure that the machinery or protective system is acceptable for its designated role and that adequate data is provided with it to make sure that it can be used in a safe and non dangerous way.
Once certified, the machinery is labeled with the 'CE' and 'CX' symbol to identify it has been approved under the ATEX directive, meaning it can be used anyplace inside the EU with no additional requirements being needed in respect to the risks addressed being applied.
