Malaysia - Emivest Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary Gymtech Feedmill (M) Sdn Bhd has been awarded a RM22.892 million contract for the construction of feedmill factory to Leadway Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd.
The factory is located in Pulau Indah, Klang, Selangor, and is expected to be completed within 10 months, Emivest said in a statement today.
The new feedmill factory in Westport allows Emivest to expand in Central market as well as penetrate into the Northern market in Peninsular Malaysia by ensuring consistent supply of fresh and high quality feed, it said.
"The new feedmill factory would derive better cost efficiencies and effective cost management across all functions by minimising the transportation as well as storage costs," Emivest said.
The setting up of a new feedmill factory in Westport is in line with Emivest's strategy to expand its core business in Malaysia.
