US based manufacturers of extrusion equipment, Insta-Pro, are to showcase their MS3000 at the upcoming IPPE 2015 exhibition.
Aquaculture is the fastest growing form of animal agriculture around the world and until now, fish feed processing was highly resource intensive. Insta-Pro International released a uniquely accessible solution for processing raw materials into the various types of fish food pellets.
The MS3000 medium shear extruder can produce a range of fish food pellets including pellets smaller than 2.0 mm. The resulting pellets are also capable of either floating or sinking to meet customer-specific needs.
"At Insta-Pro, we are focused on helping processors save time and money in this increasingly competitive marketplace. That’s why we invested three years into designing and testing the MS3000 to provide all types of operations a better solution for fish food processing," says Karl Arnold, Insta-Pro Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
The MS3000 extruder stands alone in its ability to produce fish feed in a cost-effective manner using equipment that is durable and simple to operate. The pellets resulting from the MS3000 are more efficiently digested by fish and result in less waste and cleaner water.
While twin screw extruder manufacturers offer machines capable of making small pellets, the single screw MS3000 has significant advantages in cost-efficiency and ease of use.
