Construction of Sanderson Farm's Freestone County feed mill is progressing on schedule, with the foundations for the feed mill currently being bulit.
The USD$32 million feed mill, is being bulit to support the feed needs of Sanderson Farm's USD$17 million 65,000-sf poultry hatchery currently under construction. The poultry hatchery, processing plant and wastewater facility will be locared in nearby Anderson County, Texas.
Progress on the construction of the facilties has passed the halfway mark of the two-year timeline, with completition of the project still expected in the first quarter of 2015.
The new facilities will complement the Company's existing operations located in Bryan and Waco, Texas.
Sanderson Farms currently operate seven feed mills and eight hatcheries in the country.
